Boat Description:

Queen Scuba is a 28 meter (92ft) dive liveaboard that was custom built in 2003 and has built up a very good reputation for customer service and has an experienced team of dive staff and crew. Queen Scuba is owned and operated by Coral Grand Divers, one of Thailands biggest dive companies. It is one of the largest liveaboards in the Andaman Sea accommodating up to 21 guests in comfort.

Dive trips to Similan Islands, Richelieu Rock, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Surin Island all depart from Tap Lamu pier.


Queen Scuba cabins are in 5 different categories:

1 Standard Twin share - bunk bed cabin
1 Standard Triple share - bunk bed cabin
1 Standard Quad share - bunk bed cabin
5 Main Deck VIP double bed cabins
1 Master double bed cabin

All cabins have individually controlled air conditioning and ensuite bathrooms with hot water showers.

All cabins have wardrobe storage, towels and bedding are provided.

All cabins have electricity outlets (220 volts) which provide power 24 hours per day.

The Master and VIP cabins even come with a complimentary tropical fruit basket.

The Master Cabin is the most luxurious with panoramic sea views, a king-sized bed, TV and DVD entertainment system plus minibar.

The VIP Cabins have a large double bed and seaview windows.

The Standard Cabins on the lower deck and are perfect for solo travelers or those on a tighter budget. They have comfortable bunk beds (from 2-4 guests in each cabin).

The air conditioned saloon on the main deck is spacious and has a wide screen TV and DVD player for watching movies or reviewing your underwater videos. There is a selection of movies plus a book library with plenty of marine life ID books. The tourleader has a laptop computer that you can use to burn CD's of your underwater photos. Aft of the AC saloon is a large open air shaded saloon where food is usually served. There is a sundeck on the top deck for catching some rays between dives.

The dive deck and dive platform is huge and well designed. There is plenty of storage space and seperate fresh water rinse tanks for dive kit and camera equipment. Nitrox is available to certified divers and Nitrox cert courses can be taken on board. PADI Advanced Open Water certification is also possible. 12 and 15 litre aluminium tanks are available. There are two tenders to get divers quickly to and from the dive sites.

Food is served buffet style and is a mix of Asian and International cuisine. All dietary requirements can be catered for. Coffee, tea, soft drinks, drinking water and Milo chocolate drink are all provided free of charge as are snacks such as cookies and fresh fruit. Beer and wine is available on board for an extra charge.
