SSI Diver Stress & Rescue Course – Prices

  • Rescue Course – 2 Days – 13,000 THB

SSI course prices include theory by digital learning, pool training in a custom dive pool, 2 open water dives, equipment rental, certification fee, course material, log book, insurance, breakfast and lunch on boat trips.
*First Aid/CPR training within the last 2 years is required for Rescue Diver certification.
If you have previous training or a medical qualification you may not need to take the EFR or React Right course.

The SSI Diver Stress & Rescue Diver course is an important and crucial step in expanding a diver`s knowledge and experience beyond a purely recreational level. Now you start to think about other divers and not just yourself! The SSI Diver Stress & Rescue Diver rating is a vital stepping stone to all SSI leadership training (Divemaster, Assistant Instructor or Open Water Scuba Instructor).

This course will expand your diving knowledge and experience level, and although it’s serious, you’ll find the Diver Stress & Rescue Course an enjoyable way to build your confidence. If you have not completed a First Aid / CPR training in the previous 24 months, the 1 day EFR (Emergency First Response) or React Right – First Aid and CPR course is required before completing the Rescue Diver course. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems or, if necessary, manage or assist in managing dive emergencies. Aside from the theory sessions, you’ll spend plenty of time in the water. During your time in the classroom, pool, off the beach or off the boat, you will cover:

  • Self-rescue and diver stress

  • AED and emergency oxygen delivery systems

  • Dive first aid

  • Swimming and non-swimming rescue techniques

  • Emergency management and equipment

  • Panicked diver response

  • Underwater problems

  • Missing diver procedures

  • Surfacing the unconscious diver

  • In-water rescue breathing protocols

  • Egress (exits)

  • First aid procedures for pressure related accidents

  • Dive accident scenarios

SSI or PADI Rescue / React Right or EFR Itinerary (3 days)

Day 1 : Start 9am, meet at our dive shop. Classroom work – EFR Course.
Day 2 : Start 10am, meet at our dive shop. Quick Quiz Review. Lunch. Afternoon at the pool.
Day 3 : Start 7:30am, pick up from hotel, boat trip to Racha Yai Island, return about 3:30pm.

If you do the theory with us we suggest that you stay close to Devils Divers (we are at Patong Beach) when taking your rescue course. Ideally you should plan to visit our shop any day before your course starts to complete paperwork, get your course manuals and you can try equipment. On Day 1 and 2 please meet at our shop. On day 3 pick up is from your hotel at 7:30am based on hotels in Karon or Kata Beach area. Pick up also possible from Patong. Other areas of Phuket possible with extra pick up fee.

Private 1:1 course is available for 1,000 Baht per day surcharge.

PADI certifications cost 2,000 baht/course extra.

Phuket Discover Scuba Diving Prices And Options

To the south of Phuket, the islands of Racha Yai and Racha Noi are ideal for first time beginner divers, with clear blue waters and sheltered sandy bays. Visibility here is normally above 20 meters and the marine life is plentiful. A great location for a first dive!

  • 2 dives with day trip to Racha Yai Island – 4,500 THB

  • 3 dives with day trip to Racha Noi & Yai Islands – 5,500 THB

Prices include equipment, insurance, breakfast, lunch, drinks, and hotel transfers from Patong, Karon or Kata beach.
